A – DISCOVERING LA SPEZIA WITH OUR LOCAL GUIDE 3 hours

Meet the guide at Piazza Verdi, recently renovated, to begin a journey back in time. Together, we’ll stroll along Chiodo and Cavour streets, uncovering their 19th-century past characterized by the construction of the Military Arsenal, of which we’ll admire the Monumental entrance. We’ll then return to the heart of the city through Via del Prione, a winding and typically Ligurian street, reaching the ancient Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Next, we’ll climb to the splendid terrace of the Castle of San Giorgio to admire the extraordinary beauty of the entire Gulf. At the end of the tour, there will be the opportunity to taste the typical “farinata,” the true street food of the locals.

B – THE GULF OF POETS 2 hours

Meet the guide in Lerici and take a stroll to Santerenzo with an extraordinary view of the entire Gulf and readings of selected passages. You’ll relive emotions and sensations through the eyes of poets and writers who inhabited these places and dedicated verses and thoughts to them. Shelley and his wife Mary, Virginia Woolf, DH Lawrence, and many others, captivated by a magic that continues to enchant every sensitive soul.

C – HIKING PALMARIA AND PORTOVENERE 6 hours

Meet at the boat dock in La Spezia Viale Italia. Departure by boat to the island of Palmaria, navigating inside the Gulf of La Spezia. Hiking tour of the island, a naturalistic oasis of extraordinary beauty. Stop for a light lunch during the hike. Return to Portovenere by boat and a brief visit to the medieval village dating back to 1113. Important: Wear suitable trekking shoes with Vibram or non-slip soles, bring a backpack with enough water for the hike.

D – HIKING CINQUE TERRE CLASSICO 6 hours

Meeting with the guide in Manarola – Bus ride to Volastra, a delightful village surrounded by olive trees. From Volastra, you’ll reach Corniglia along the path that crosses the characteristic vineyards of the Cinque Terre and offers spectacular views of this unique landscape. In Corniglia, there will be time for lunch at a restaurant or snack at various bars/enotecas. Important: Wear suitable trekking shoes with Vibram or non-slip soles, bring a backpack with enough water for the hike.
